Johnson & Wales University


Johnson and Wales University (JWU) is an American private, philanthropic, co-instructive, profession situated college with four local grounds situated all through the United States. Provision, Rhode Island is home to JWU's first and biggest grounds. Established as a business college in 1914 by Gertrude I. Johnson and Mary T. Wales, JWU at present has 17,230 understudies selected in Business, Arts and Sciences, Culinary Arts, Education, Engineering, Equine administration, Hospitality, and Engineering Technology programs over its grounds. 

The University is certify by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education. 

Johnson and Wales University works grounds in four areas: the establishing Providence, Rhode Island grounds lodging JWU's business, neighborliness, and innovation projects (called Downcity and opened in 1914) with a backup grounds lodging JWU's culinary and graduate projects (called Harborside and opened in 1985) in Cranston, Rhode Island; North Miami, Florida (opened in 1992); Denver, Colorado (opened in 2000); and Charlotte, North Carolina (opened in 2004). (Two past grounds in Charleston, South Carolina (opened in 1984) and Norfolk, Virginia (opened in 1986), were continuously solidified into the Charlotte grounds, beginning in September 2003 and finishing in May 2006 with the terminations of the Norfolk and Charleston grounds).
