Baruch College

The Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York, usually known as Baruch College, is a senior (4-year) constituent college of the City University of New York framework situated in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan, New York City. Named for lender and statesman Bernard M. Baruch, the school works undergrad, experts, and Ph.D. programs through its Zicklin School of Business,as well as the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Public Affairs.

Baruch is one of CUNY's senior schools, and follows its roots back to the 1847 establishing of the Free Academy,[6] the first organization of free open advanced education in the United States. The New York State Literature Fund was made to serve understudies who couldn't bear to enlist in New York City's private schools. The Fund prompted the formation of the Committee of the Board of Education of the City of New York, drove by Townsend Harris, J.S. Bosworth, and John L. Bricklayer, which achieved the foundation of what might turn into the Free Academy, on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.
