University of Houston–Clear Lake

The University of Houston–Clear Lake (UHCL) is a four-year state college, and is one of four particular foundations in the University of Houston System. Its grounds compasses 524 sections of land (2.12 km2) in Pasadena, with a branch grounds in Pearland. Established in 1971, UHCL has an enlistment of more than 8,000 understudies. The U.S. News and World Report positions the college No. 81 in its Regional University Rankings (West), and No. 32 among top state funded colleges.

In 1961, NASA reported that the Manned Spacecraft Center would be situated in Houston simply off the shores of Clear Lake. In 1964, the University of Houston (UH) started offering courses in material science, math, and different building projects to NASA workers at the Manned Spacecraft Center (MSC).
