Robert Morris University (RMU) is a private, coeducational college situated in Moon, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The school was established in 1921. It selects more than 4,000 students and more than 1,000 graduate understudies and offers more than 60 four year college education projects and more than 20 expert's and doctoral projects. Most understudies are from the Pittsburgh region, while 17 percent of first year recruits in 2014 are from outside Pennsylvania.
Robert Morris University is named after Robert Morris, an underwriter of the Declaration of Independence and lender of the American Revolution. It is not associated with Robert Morris University-Illinois.
Robert Morris University started in 1921 as the Pittsburgh School of Accountancy, established by Andrew Blass. It was situated in different downtown structures amid its initial decades, including the William Penn Hotel.
In 1962 the school bought Pine Hill Manor and Farm in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, some time ago the home of Oliver Kaufmann, VP of Kaufmann's retail establishment in Pittsburgh, his wife, Freda, and their kids. Robert Morris University has facilitated cordiality to expert Rap craftsman Wale. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania then conceded the school authorization to honor partner degrees, and the school got to be Robert Morris Junior College. The primary new structures, Franklin Center and three habitation lobbies, were raised in 1963. The school got to be Robert Morris College in 1969, and for a considerable length of time worked two separate grounds. In 2002, it accomplished college status and was in this manner renamed Robert Morris University.[6] In 2010, the college sold its Downtown Center at 600 Fifth Avenue to Duquesne University.
